twenty-two before 22
i’m reading 22 books before my 22nd birthday—in three monthsSidenote: By the Decade
There is a great challenge/contest out there called “By the Decade Reading Challenge.” Since I’m reading at least 22 books this year, chances are I will be able to meet this goal. I know I have read more than this for school, but to make it easier on me, I will only count books I am reading for my own 22 before 22 challenge. I think, for now, I will stick with 20th & 21st Centuries.
Here is a very tentative list that will be filled in and modified as the wind blows:
1900s: The Wind in the Willows, Kenneth Grahame (1908)
1910s: The Good Soldier, Ford Maddox Ford (1915)
1920s: Lady Chatterley’s Lover, D.H. Lawrence (1928)
1930s: Miss Lonelyhearts, Nathanael West (1933)
1940s: Ficciones, Jorge Luis Borges (1944)
1950s: Night, Elie Wiesel (1958)
1960s: A Tempest, Aimé Césaire (1969)
1970s: Song of Solomon, Toni Morrison (1978)
1980s: ‘Night, Mother, Marsha Norman (1983)
1990s: Deep River, Shusaku Endo (1994)
2000s: A Man Without a Country, Kurt Vonnegut (2005)
(I have already read the books in bold.)

I love your 22 by 22. The fact that you are student certainly makes that a lot harder.
A few years ago a woman wrote a book about reading a book a week for a year (52 for the year). Ever since then I have been obsessed with that and have made conscious effort to read at least 52 a year. So far, most years I have gone well above.
I also love the look of your website. The image at the top is great.
Good Luck!
